Our full-time Activities staff are always planning an exciting schedule of events and trips. These range from social gatherings to concerts to educational trips at fascinating sites in southwest Florida. Transportation is provided for all residents throughout Shell Point, as well as to dining and shopping outside the community. Boaters find a safe harbor at Shell Point. Residents enjoy discounted dockage, with electric and water hookups provided. With deepwater access to the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf of Mexico, nearby destinations like Sanibel and Captiva are just minutes away (click here to learn how to visit Shell Point by boat). For those without a boat, a crew of resident volunteers operate the Suzy Q, a deck boat which gives free tours of the surrounding waterways and wildlife. Some residents take advantage of our near-perfect climate to enjoy sports and physical fitness year-round. The Shell Point Golf Club offers a challenge to players of all skill levels. Shell Point also has two fitness centers with top-of-the-line exercise equipment and weights, two swimming pools and an aquacise pool, lighted shuffleboard and tennis courts, miles of waterfront walking paths, and professional fitness instructors leading a variety of classes and activities. |
