Fairview’s rich heritage of serving the senior population extends back more than 100 years to 1902, when Swedish immigrants founded Fridhem, Home of Rest. The first community opened in 1905 in a rented house in Chicago. At that time, residents cut the grass, gathered the eggs, and milked the cows.
