Self Health Care and Rehabilitation Center provides an array of rehabilitation, skilled nursing and long-term care to meet a variety of needs. Carroll Place, located in beautiful Fairhope, Ala., offers residents many leisure, cultural and educational opportunities. Carroll Place is located near healthcare services including physicians’ offices and a hospital with an emergency room. Located on 120 beautiful wooded acres in the foothills of the Appalachians, Kirkwood by the River is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community near Birmingham, Alabama. Incorporated as Presbyterian Homes of Birmingham, Inc. and sponsored by Independent Presbyterian Church, it is open to all people regardless of church affiliation. An applicant or spouse must be at least sixty-two to move into Kirkwood.
