Personal alert system for alerting others within house

I am looking for an alert button that when depressed, will set off an alarm remotely on the other side of a house. I have a patient who lives upstairs over a garage in her own apartment in a mother-daughter home. The family is concerned that she can not alert them when needed and want a simple pendent or watch to press that will set off an alarm, but not call 911 or any other numbers. A good example of what I want for my patient is when you press the "locate" button on the cradle for your cordless home phone and the phone beeps until you find it. Has anyone seen something like this?
