Changing facitities and medicare Can't Post Private Reply

Does anyone know if we change facilities for our Mom, will medicare cover for this rehab period? Horrible food where she is, and she is getting no sleep. Good grief, this is rehab from major surgery!! Thanks!!

If you are looking for a assisted living facility for your mom. There are lots of choices available in every state.

My passion for caring and helping other people, especially the elderly who have nobody to look after them in their family, inspired me to open an assisted living facility for the elders. I take it as a privilege in helping old people . I feel very proud to be a caregiver.

Medicare benefits are determined by several factors, one is # of days. I think after 3 days in hospital you may be eligible for 20 days of rehab care. Check with the hospital where surgery took place. I don't know where you live, but if you check Compare nursing homes at medicare.gov you can find rankings, by state, that are based on factual inspections and data. This may help you find a good place.

My father stayed for rehab, and then lived in, a wonderful retirement home (Ranked 5 stars, the highest!) that has a great rehab program, delicious food, and truly warm and caring staff. I was so impressed that I began volunteering there, and I now work at Snug Harbor full-time! Check out our place if you're near coastal North Carolina: Snug Harbor on Nelson Bay, www.snugharboronnelsonbay.

Wherever you decide to go, I wish you the best of luck.

The points which you mentioned above shows that your mom is not happy there, so in my opinion it would be better if you heir any home care service for your mother. These home care providers give you the package of facilities you can select best one for yourself.
