AMAR is a non-profit organization committed to creating a future for active senior living in Mexico.
The Mexican Association for Retirement Communities (AMAR) promotes retirement communities in Mexico, mainly the "Senior Housing & Care" industry, focused on Independent & Assisted Living.
Founded in June 2007, AMAR was created because of the demographic tendencies of the 50+ sector. It was inspired by the 76 million Baby Boomers about to retire in the next few years, as well as by the services that they will require.
AMAR had it's first annual event: 2B Alive Independent & Assisted Living Summit last May in La Jolla, California, USA, featuring speaker Evan Heltay, President of RetirementHomes.com. AMAR has actively participated in several national and international events in Mexico, the US and Canada.
