Springvale Terrace began operations as a moderate-income HUD project in the mid 1960s. Currenlty there are 156 independent living apartments available for seniors. Springvale Terrace received a $2.6 million grant from HUD to convert 36 apartments to assisted living and renovate much of the common living space.
