The Liberal Good Samaritan Center in Liberal opened in 1967. It was established as Countryside Manor and in 1973 was purchased by the Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society. It is licensed as a Medicare- and Medicaid-certified facility for 79 residents.
