The Altenheim Community -- Health Care since 1910 Retirement Living The Altenheim Communtiy has a long tradition of providing older adults with lifestyle options that offer freedom, security, and opportunities to enjoy the many pleasures of life. The Altenheim was organized on April 12, 1910, by two local churches who purchased a twelve bedroom Victorian mansion in the heart of Indianapolis and modified it for community living in a home-like setting.

The Pavilion is designed for people who are still active and busy enjoying life but may benefit from some assistance with the various activities of daily living. With six different floor plans for one bedroom apartments, residents may select the design that fits their specific needs. Each apartment offers a comfortable living room with a dining area and kitchenette, separate bedroom and spacious bath. Most apartments have balconies.

Crooked Creek Tower is located on nine acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Garden boxes are provided for any resident interested in growing their own vegetables and flowers. There is also a large picnic area, with grills for barbequing, as well as swings, chairs, and benches to relax and enjoy your surroundings.
