A member of the Sears Methodist Retirement System, the Canyons Retirement Community provides the best in retirement living and assures affordability for seniors living on fixed incomes. The Canyons developed a program to convert their 108 independent-living units into affordable housing. As the result of a contractual agreement with the City of Amarillo, 27 of these units were designated as low-income housing.
