Ashwood Retirement Care Rsdnc
More than two-thirds of the states use the licensure term assisted living. A retirement home is a multi-residence housing facility intended for senior citizens. A nursing home is a place of residence for people who require constant nursing care and have significant deficiencies with activities of daily living. The usual retirement home pattern is that each person or couple in the home has an apartment-style room or suite of rooms. Nursing Home residents in a skilled nursing facility may also receive physical, occupational, and other rehabilitative therapies following an accident or illness. Assisted living residences or assisted living facilities provide supervision or assistance with monitoring of resident activities to help to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. Assistance may include the administration or supervision of medication, or personal care services provided by a trained staff person. A retirement home differs from a nursing home primarily in the level of medical care given. An assisted living facility may be a good choice if you don’t need the round-the-clock medical care and supervision of a nursing home. Nursing Home residents include the elderly and younger adults with physical or mental disabilities. Some facilities provide minor help with medications as well. Generally, retirement homes are designed for seniors who need minimal to moderate support with their daily living activities.
