Wake Robin Continuing Care
Assisted living residences or assisted living facilities provide supervision or assistance with activities of daily living. The housing is friendlier to older adults, more compact, with easier navigation and assistance in outside maintenance. You do not need to provide medical evidence that you need a minimum level of care. Assisted living is a philosophy of care and services promoting independence and dignity. Assistance may include the administration or supervision of medication, or personal care services provided by a trained staff person. Other licensure terms used for this philosophy of care include Residential Care Home, Assisted Care Living Facilities, and Personal Care Homes. An assisted living facility may be a good choice if you don’t need the round-the-clock medical care and supervision of a nursing home. Generally, retirement homes are designed for seniors who need minimal to moderate support with their daily living activities. More than two-thirds of the states use the licensure term assisted living. Some facilities provide minor help with medications as well.
