Retirement Homes & Senior Housing

A nursing home may be a good choice if you need a higher level of care temporarily after a hospitalization, but it’s anticipated you will be able to return to home or another facility after a period of time. A retirement home is a multi-residence housing facility intended for senior citizens. Assisted Living communities are regulated and licensed at the US state level. Nursing Home residents in a skilled nursing facility may also receive physical, occupational, and other rehabilitative therapies following an accident or illness. You have a close network of nearby family, friends, and neighbors. Retirement homes are privately owned rental accommodations for seniors who are able to manage and pay for their own care. Staff is available twenty-four hours a day. Assisted living is a philosophy of care and services promoting independence and dignity. Assisted living residences or assisted living facilities provide supervision or assistance with monitoring of resident activities to help to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. Nursing Home residents include the elderly and younger adults with physical or mental disabilities. Independent living is a general name for any housing arrangement designed exclusively for seniors. More than two-thirds of the states use the licensure term assisted living. The housing is friendlier to older adults, more compact, with easier navigation and assistance in outside maintenance. Staff is available twenty-four hours a day.
