University Terrace Good Samaritan Village
The first three buildings of our campus, housing 162 residents, were completed in 1979. As the city has grown to more than 70,000 people, the Village has grown to seven buildings and 180 employees, providing a complete continuum of care for approximately 320 residents. The green, 16-acre campus has the feel of an oasis in the desert with a Social Center for dining, a library, a village store, beauty shop, various workshops, recreation room and a separate building for the indoor pool and Jacuzzis. A fitness room and daily exercise classes are available.
Residents are at home in 158 senior living apartments in two apartment buildings and garden apartments; a freestanding, 24-unit assisted living facility; and a 93-bed health-care center. The emphasis is on providing a meaningful life to each resident.
Some residents live independently in senior apartments, travel frequently and volunteer in the community and village. Others needing a minimum of assistance - perhaps with daily medications, scheduling or dressing - find the support they need in Assisted Living.
