La Vida Llena

As early as the mid-1980's, four area churches - First Presbyterian, St. John's Episcopal Cathedral, First United Methodist and St. Paul's Lutheran - recognized the need for a new, more complete kind of retirement community, that offers seniors an active, secure and richly rewarding retirement lifestyle.

Moved by their community spirit and a commitment to the common good, they founded a not-for-profit corporation to guide the development of the non-denominational community, giving it a name that reflected what they hoped to provide: La Vida Llena ("The Full Life").

From the first, La Vida Llena was an immediate success, attracting a diverse, active community of residents who were drawn to its unique combination of exceptional amenities and services with the assurance of quality health care, available on-site - a then-revolutionary concept known as LifeCare.

Today, even after four phased and planned expansions, it's still a family feeling - a special spirit of community - that sets La Vida Llena apart. With a board of directors who combine outstanding professional credentials with compassionate commitment; a skilled, dedicated staff and management; and active involved, welcoming residents, La Vida Llena is truly a unique "community within a community" offering seniors an exciting, worry-free lifestyle with a real sense of belonging.

Still Albuquerque's only LifeCare community, and a not-for-profit organization, La Vida Llena is dedicated to safeguarding its residents' interests and well-being and not only meeting, but setting, the highest standards for quality, stability and security.
