An assisted living facility may be a good choice if you don’t need the round-the-clock medical care and supervision of a nursing home. Other licensure terms used for this philosophy of care include Residential Care Home, Assisted Care Living Facilities, and Personal Care Homes. You do not need to provide medical evidence that you need a minimum level of care. Each state licensing agency has its own definition of the term it uses to describe assisted living.
