An assisted living facility may be a good choice if you need more personal care services than are feasible at home or in an independent living retirement community. Nursing Home residents in a skilled nursing facility may also receive physical, occupational, and other rehabilitative therapies following an accident or illness. Retirement homes are privately owned rental accommodations for seniors who are able to manage and pay for their own care. The usual retirement home pattern is that each person or couple in the home has an apartment-style room or suite of rooms.
