The center of activity in William Hill Manor is the Manor House with its stately Georgian facade reminiscent of the area's colonial heritage. The entry, marked by a signature canopy, leads to a dramatic two-story foyer warmed by traditional colors, patterns, and finely crafted woodwork in the style of the historic inns of Williamsburg. Carrying out the elegant decor are the dining room, cocktail lounge, sun room, library, and living room. In each of these, residents gather daily for a wide range of social activities, both planned and spontaneous, in the company of friends and family. To comfortably accommodate larger gatherings, William Hill Manor's auditorium is a versatile room furnished with a stage, grand piano, acoustical enhancements, and a seating capacity for 250 guests. The Recreation Room At William Hill Manor, social activity is planned around the interests of our residents. Music and dancing, exercise groups, lectures, cocktail and patio parties, and Maryland-style "crab feasts" are standard favorites - and all are offered "come-as-you-please." For theater performances, concerts, movies, and shopping, residents board the Manor's bus for the five-minute ride into town. Excursions to stage productions, historic homes and gardens, gallery exhibits, and cultural activities in Washington and Baltimore are popular also, as are visits to Atlantic seashore resorts. Our Social Director is always available to coordinate activities. Of all activities in the William Hill Manor community, dining remains a highlight. Each evening, a hospitality hour in the lounge precedes dinner. In the elegant dining room, fresh flowers grace tables laid with crisp white linens and sparkling settings. Our four-course selective menu features prime meats and seasonal specialties from the Chesapeake Bay prepared to fine restaurant standards. Fresh baked goods are the specialty of the house, as is friendly, congenial service. Once a month the Chef presents a lavish "theme" buffet which delights the eye as well as the palate with a selection of creative dishes. Residents also enjoy hosting friends and family with staff-catered luncheon or dinner parties in one of the social rooms or the private dining room. Whatever the occasion, dining times are pleasurable at William Hill Manor, and their anticipation adds to the enjoyment of busy days.
