Retirement Homes & Senior Housing
Assisted living is a philosophy of care and services promoting independence and dignity. An assisted living facility may be a good choice if you need more personal care services than are feasible at home or in an independent living retirement community. Assisted living emerged in the 1990s as an eldercare alternative on the continuum of care for seniors for whom Independent living is no longer appropriate but who do not need the 24-hour medical care provided by a nursing home. Independent Living Communities enable residents to live as independently as possible, while providing certain services and social activities. Assisted living is a philosophy of care and services promoting independence and dignity. The housing is friendlier to older adults, more compact, with easier navigation and assistance in outside maintenance. You do not need to provide medical evidence that you need a minimum level of care. Assisted living residences or assisted living facilities provide supervision or assistance with coordination of services by outside health careproviders.
