Luther Village

Luther Village was established in residential Arlington Heights in 1990. It has the distinction of being the first retirement community in the Midwest. All Luther Village residents own their homes through cooperative ownership and enjoy all the financial advantages that go along with it. Luther Village is also known for its affiliation with the Lutheran Home, a renowned senior care facility located just next door. While Luther Village is an independent living community, most of our homeowners consider ready access to health care an invaluable benefit. Luther Village is designed to provide active seniors with services and amenities that increase, rather than limit, their freedom. Personal services such as laundry, housekeeping and dining are optional. On the other hand, features that offer security, convenience and social activity are standard for everyone—from snow removal to the fitness club and pool to fine arts classes Visitors to the 60-acre campus are drawn in by the range of opportunities, including the diverse. Residences range from apartment-style homes to two-story houses with basements. A variety of different homes are available now. The interior of the campus includes ponds, a fishing pier, walking paths, gardens and the Summer House recreational building.
