Keeles Residential Care
A nursing home, convalescent home, Skilled Nursing Unit, care home or rest home provides a specific type of care for its residents. Assisted living residences or assisted living facilities provide supervision or assistance with activities of daily living. An assisted living facility may be a good choice if you need more personal care services than are feasible at home or in an independent living retirement community. Retirement homes are also called retirement residences. You do not need to provide medical evidence that you need a minimum level of care. Assisted living is a philosophy of care and services promoting independence and dignity. Assisted Living communities are regulated and licensed at the US state level. More than two-thirds of the states use the licensure term assisted living. An assisted living facility may be a good choice if you don’t need the round-the-clock medical care and supervision of a nursing home. A nursing home may be a good choice if you need a higher level of care temporarily after a hospitalization, but it’s anticipated you will be able to return to home or another facility after a period of time.
