Residence Westhill Inc
A retirement home differs from a nursing home primarily in the level of medical care given. The usual retirement home pattern is that each person or couple in the home has an apartment-style room or suite of rooms. Nursing Home residents include the elderly and younger adults with physical or mental disabilities. Other licensure terms used for this philosophy of care include Residential Care Home, Assisted Care Living Facilities, and Personal Care Homes. Staff is available twenty-four hours a day. Assisted living residences or assisted living facilities provide supervision or assistance with monitoring of resident activities to help to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. A nursing home may be a good choice if you need a higher level of care temporarily after a hospitalization, but it’s anticipated you will be able to return to home or another facility after a period of time. Each state licensing agency has its own definition of the term it uses to describe assisted living. A nursing home is a place of residence for people who require constant nursing care and have significant deficiencies with activities of daily living. Assisted living residences or assisted living facilities provide supervision or assistance with activities of daily living.
