Residence Les Deux Aires
Each state licensing agency has its own definition of the term it uses to describe assisted living. Assisted living comes by many names, such as residential care, board and care, or group homes. Assisted living is a philosophy of care and services promoting independence and dignity. Retirement homes are also called retirement residences. Assisted living residences or assisted living facilities provide supervision or assistance with activities of daily living. A place in a retirement home can be paid for on a rental basis, like an apartment, or can be bought in perpetuity on the same basis as a condominium. Retirement homes are also called retirement residences. The usual retirement home pattern is that each person or couple in the home has an apartment-style room or suite of rooms. Independent living is a general name for any housing arrangement designed exclusively for seniors. Some facilities provide minor help with medications as well. A nursing home is a place of residence for people who require constant nursing care and have significant deficiencies with activities of daily living. Other licensure terms used for this philosophy of care include Residential Care Home, Assisted Care Living Facilities, and Personal Care Homes. Housing arrangements for the future can be a stressful, anxiety-provoking topic for you and your family. An assisted living facility may be a good choice if you need more personal care services than are feasible at home or in an independent living retirement community.
