Chalmers Lodge

Chalmers Lodge has 115 hotel-style units with self-contained private baths, balconies and large wardrobe closets. Suites on the north side, provide a beautiful view of the North Shore mountains and English Bay with ships at anchor. Suites on the south side provide ample sunlight and tranquility. All units are furnished with a bed, two bedside tables, a study desk, a study chair and an armchair. Residents may bring their own furniture to create a home-like atmosphere. For emergency response, each unit is equipped with intercom and Nurse Call System by the bed and in the bathroom. For safety, all tubs and showers have grab bars. For better accessibility wall switches are lower than normal and doors have handles instead of knobs. Each suite is equipped with smoke detector and sprinkler system. Dining. Home cooked meals are the specialty of the Lodge. Meals are served in a spacious dining room on the main floor. Gracious and congenial atmosphere in the dining room provides an opportunity for socializing. Monthly rental includes all three meals daily. Similar to many fine restaurants, residents are seated four or two to a table. This arrangement not only provides convenience in conversation, but also assists the staff to deliver one's medication when necessary.
